healthy tomato salsaI am a big fan of salsa and I like this recipe because it can be created year-round, even when the fresh tomatoes aren’t in season.

Make Your Own Tomato Salsa = Super Food

Tomato is considered a super food because it is nutrient dense and low in calories. It has many properties that fight disease

You can avoid hidden sugars found in store bought salsas by making your own.

Make sure when buying your canned tomatoes that they do not have any added sugars!! Some do! I am a fan of the Cento Crushed Tomatoes pictured here.

Healthy Salsa Recipe

Thank you, Joan for submitting this healthy salsa recipe!

1 can crushed/diced/cut tomatoes (28-33 oz)
1/2 chopped white onion
1/2 chopped green or jalepeno pepper of choice
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 bunch of chopped cilantro
1/4 juice from lime

Increase Your Metabolism ProgramMix the above ingredients. Let it sit overnight before using it as a chip salsa or as a topping for fish, poultry or turkey. Enjoy!

Quick Tomato Salsa Recipe Trick

If you do not want to cut or measure anything then there is a trick to getting great salsa with only a can of tomatoes….
