Joan Boardman one of our “6 Weeks To The New You” graduates sent in this recipe.
It fits all the criteria for recipes in our opinion: fun-fast-healthy.
I am a big fan of salsa and I like this recipe because it can be created year-round, even when the fresh tomatoes aren’t in season.
Make Your Own Tomato Salsa = Super Food
Tomato is considered a super food because it is nutrient dense and low in calories. It has many properties that fight disease
You can avoid hidden sugars found in store bought salsas by making your own.
Make sure when buying your canned tomatoes that they do not have any added sugars!! Some do! I am a fan of the Cento Crushed Tomatoes pictured here. I usually get the organic.
