For bread to be 100% whole wheat, the words “whole wheat flour” or “100% wheat flour” should be the first and only flour in the bread.
Whole Wheat Apple Bread Pudding Recipe
1 loaf whole wheat bread-no seeds
3 Granny Smith Apples-peeled and sliced
1 tsp. lemon zest
2 cup skim milk
1 cup half and half
½ cup brown sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 tsp. Cinnamon
Your Choice of: (14 caramel candies-unwrapped or 3/4 cup raisins or 1/2 cup chocolate chips)
½ cup nuts of your choice
- Combine all ingredients in large bowl.
- Dump into a greased casserole dish and cover.
- Bake at 350* for about 30-40 minutes or until set.
